Kimff Pitch 2018

Deadline 22nd November 2018

Kimff Doc Lab is pleased to announce the second edition of Live Pitch for documentary filmmakers in partnership with the British Council. Kimff Doc Lab launched in 2016 and has been working to support Nepali documentary filmmakers with story consultations and post-production assistance. The kimff Doc Lab Live Pitch 2018 is an opportunity to present a compelling argument for your work-in-progress to a panel of judges from the film industry and foundation space who will offer feedback and recommendations. Kimff Doc Lab Live Pitch is held in a theater setting with a live audience that will witness your presentation, learn about you and your film project.

Send in your concept paper and tentative timeline for your film project along with a trailer of your work not more than 3 minutes in length. The film project timeline should be completed by November 2019. Kimff Doc Lab will short-list up to 5 film projects and work with the selected Pitch participants to hone their presentations and trailers to help the filmmakers showcase their most compelling case for their films. The Pitch will be limited to 5 minutes of stage time including the screening of the film clip. Presenters are encouraged to showcase a lively and creative pitch that invites audience participation. We encourage women filmmakers and film projects about women to apply.

The winning pitch presentation will be awarded a 2,000.UK £ commission grant from the British Council via Doc Lab program. The awardee will be contracted to receive the grant as per their presented deliverables and respective timeline. Grantee film will get a chance to be screened at kimff 2019 and receive additional in kind support from the British Council to reach wider audiences.
