The north face of Chamlang, starting at close to 2,000m high and culminating at 7,200m, is one of the last great unclimbed faces of the Himalayas. Benjamin Védrines, who spotted the face during a previous ascent of Chamlang, decides to partner with Charles Dubouloz, a very strong mountaineer but high altitude novice. Spindrifts, suspended bivouacs, lengths of mixed and vertical ice… this film immerses us in the best of what is being done in the Himalayas in the 21st century!

About the filmmaker.
Trained as an editor, I started working on sports events, where I learned to edit efficiently to make the video available as quickly as possible. I was then able to meet directors, athletes and adventurers who, on returning from an expedition, needed help to set up their film. In recent years I have worked with Antoine Girard for Envol vers les 8000 and Lost in Karakorum and Benjamin Védrines for his 2 expeditions to climb the Chamlang.
