About the filmmaker.
Antonin Lechat came to documentary filmmaking during an internship with a production company in Mongolia. He has been exploring Central Asia and documentary storytelling ever since. He is a discreet observer, but involved, sometimes even co-opted. He adopts a caring and above all respectful working style towards the subjects he films or photographs in order to capture the humanity of a given moment.
