In love with images and the cold, wildlife photographer Jérémie Villet travels alone through the white deserts of the northern hemisphere with his pulk (a short sled) and his telephoto lens, looking for animals that survive in extreme cold.
Jérémie is about to set out on an expedition in the Canadian North to explore the wild and extreme Yukon region, with the ultimate goal of photographing the legendary mountain goat. The difficulty of access to the mountain territories where this animal evolves and the freezing temperatures will make the task challenging.
Through adventures and unique human-animal encounters, this documentary shows us the photographer's intimate and delicate approach to this changing world.

About the filmmaker.
Mathieu Le Lay is a film director and cinematographer based in the French Alps. His work is authentic, geographically diverse, visceral, and yet consistently visually stunning and poetic. After he graduated in Wildlife Conservation at the University of Salford (UK), he combined his love for nature, cinema and wildlife and studied at IFFCAM, the French wildlife film school.
Since 2008, he has made films that tell stories of the interaction between humans and nature, inspiring people to connect with our natural world. Beyond the use of natural lights to create evocative atmospheres, Mathieu has developed creative and technical skills to shoot documentaries, in some of the harshest environments and most hard-to-reach environments of our planet. He works on subjects that drive him to bring emotional and visual depth to his films. His work has been recognised at international film festivals focused on nature, mountain, wildlife and adventure.
