About the filmmaker.
Tatiana Kiseleva was born in 1978 near Moscow. She has degrees in animation art from the Lyceum of Animated Cinematography No. 333 (1998) and in animation and computer graphics from the Art Department of VGIK, at the workshop of AM Gorlenko (2007).
Kiseleva has been an animator at various Moscow studios since 1998 and worked on more than 40 animated films, including the feature-length New Bremen, Prince Vladimir, Ku! Kin-Dza-Dza, and The Tale of Peter and Fevronia. She has won numerous awards at the Suzdal festival for animators (2011-2014) and won a national award, the Icarus, in 2016.
Kiseleva made her directorial debut in 2013. The short animated film Banka won awards at the Suzdal and Moscow festivals. Radiant Angel, Saint Anna won the Grand Prix for the best short film at the Tokyo Kinder Film Festival. White Bears (co-directed with Roza Gimatdinova) and The Cure for Obedience participated in many international competitions. The Cure for Obedience was awarded at the Big Cartoon Festival (2018), won Best Film for Children at the Banjaluka Animation Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2019) and won second place in Best Film for Children at the Santa Maria Festival in Bulgaria (2018). Since 2018, Kiseleva has cooperated closely with the Soyuzmultfilm studio. She is the animation supervisor for the series New Prostokvashino.
